KALAMIT HD

The NEW KALAMIT HD series of magnetic coolant filtration systems are for all types of lubricants and coolants used in metalworking tool machines. The Kalamit separates magnetic particles from water based emulsion solutions or straight oils having a maximum viscosity of 20 cSt at 40° C. The flow capacity ranges from 600 to 1800 l/min (158-475 gpm) for a water based emulsion. The 600 to 1800 are part of our NEW HEAVY DUTY KALAMIT family designed for heavy industrial applications at steel mills, pipe & tube mills or applications where an excessive amount of ferrous solids are being generated.

These magnetic coolant filtration systems are all constructed from heavy duty galvanized sheet metal, shaped and welded using a completely automated process and they are finished with powder painting. KALAMIT series can be coupled to any other series of coolant filters increasing performances and savings.

KALAMIT magnetic coolant filter is considered to be a SELF-CLEANING system with no disposable material. The Kalamit magnetic filter can also improve the performance of our coolant filter beds by acting as a prefilter and taking the solids load of the filter media. When used in conjunction with our filter beds this minimizes filter media usage. This type of filter is very common in grinding applications where large volumes of ferrous solids are generated.

Applications Include:

  • Centerless Grinding Coolant Filtration
  • Surface Grinding Coolant Filtration
  • Creepfeed Grinder Coolant Filtration
  • ID Grinder Coolant Filtration
  • OD Grinder Coolant Filtration
  • Abrasive Belt Grinding Coolant Filtration
  • Cutoff Saw Coolant Filtration
  • Steel Mills
  • Pipe & Tube Mills
