The Maxflow series of large volume coolant filters are designed designed for filtering large volumes of coolant; where flow rates exceed the capacity of the Easyband or Evotech series. Due to its innovative design, the MAXFLOW is able to filter high flow rates of coolant with high filtration performance using less fabric and floor space.

The MAXFLOW series is considered the big brother to the Evotech
series in that its operating principle takes advantage of hydrostatic
pressure to increase filtration performance and reduce footprint
and fabric consumption.

The Maxflow Coolant Filter is designed for use on all different types of metalworking machine tools and can filter emulsions/water based and whole oils coolants up to a maximum viscosity of 20° cSt at 100°F (40°C). Filtration capacity is for flow ranges from 80 - 425 gpm (300 to 1,600 lt/min).

Depending on the fabric used, the filtration efficiency ranges from 10 to 50 microns.

How It Works;

Dirty liquid enters the MAXFLOW by way of an inlet placed on the open end of the drum; in case of magnetic separator a pipe connects this inlet to where the optional magnetic separator is installed. Coolant then flows through a distribution system that spreads the liquid evenly over the filter fabric. This containment is practically “sealed”, so that a hydraulic liquid level is established producing hydrostatic pressure.

Dirty liquid permeates through the filter fabric. As particles are removed a cake is allowed to build on the filter fabric increasing filter efficiency and dirt hold capacity. The hydrostatic pressure pushes a large volume of liquid through the cake and fabric, maximizing fabric life and filtration efficiency.
Once the filter fabric reaches the point where no more liquid can effectively flow through, the liquid level raises the float switch, triggering a gear motor, and advances the fabric to a slurry tank. With clean fabric in place, the liquid level lowers and the process starts all over again.
